Just when you think you've heard it all, Christine, the Rambling GOP Soccer Mom slips in a zinger...

On the "Adult Sacraments" page of the St. Joan's website, we find the quite common...

Marriage and Wedding Guidelines
- Weddings at St. Joan of Arc are provided as a service to registered members of our parish community. Because of the large number of weddings it is not possible to provide the services of a presider or our facilities for people who are not registered parishioners.
For a wedding to take place at SJA it is necessary that one of the engaged couple be a member of the parish for at least six (6) months before a wedding date can be set. A wedding date may only be scheduled by one of the priests after an initial interview with the engaged couple. A minimum of four (4) months from the time the date is set to the wedding is necessary to complete the requirements. In cases where there has been a previous marriage, it is not possible to set the wedding date until notice of an annulment is in hand. The staff liaison is Roseann Rogers, rrogers@stjoan.com.

...and if it doesn't "work out"...

Annulment Process
- The Catholic Church's annulment of a marriage may be pursued once a divorce has been finalized. For some people the thought of remarriage may be a distant one, while for others, more immediate. The annulment process assists in bringing closure to an ended relationship and freely allows for re-marriage within the Church. The staff liaison is Roseann Rogers, rrogers@stjoan.com.

One stop shopping getting "hitched" and "un-hitched". I must have missed the proclaimation which made "annulment" the 8th Sacrament (above "reconciliation" on their page).

St. Joan is the poster child of a lost parish. We really need to pray for them.
