"All animals are created equal..."

"...but some are more equal than others" says a line from George Orwell's literary classic, Animal Farm. What it refers to is the laws being developed by the animals who have taken over their farm, and are setting up a communist utopia. The original line was: "All animals are created equal", and in their lust for power, the pigs had the following added in the dead of night: "...but some are more equal than others."

Barack Obama is supposed to be upholding the Constitution as a U.S. Senator. This Constitution grants us all the right to freedom of speech and expression, especially when it applies to criticism of the government. I'm going to hazard a guess that this also applies to the criticism of those wanting to govern us.

This doesn't seem to be the case. The American Issues Project, a political 527 set up to promote conservative values has released the following video to local markets:

Barack Obama has petitioned the Department of Justice to have it taken off the air.

Update: Obama Campaign's Response to Our Ad
August 26, 2008
The Obama for President campaign has already begun complaining about our ad that connects Obama with domestic terrorist William Ayers. It seems they are intent to use the Federal Government to suppress political speech they disagree with. So they filed a complaint with the Department of Justice.

Free speech is not unrestricted. It is illegal to commit libel. This is telling lies about your opponent. Had Obama charged this organization with libel, I would have no problem with it. You shouldn't be allowed to lie in any campaign ads for any political party or candidate. But The American Issues Project has backed up their ad with over 100 pages of supporting documentation.

The ad begins with a simple, yet pointed question: "Beyond the speeches, how much do you really know about Barack Obama?" This is something that anyone who will be voting in November should ask themselves. What do you really know about Barack Obama?

(I'm making this video available because I find what Obama's campaign is doing reprehensible. I also am not linking to anything found on YouTube, because Google has proven themselves as hostile to conservative free speech as Obama is. I linked to the blip.tv version found on AIP's website.)
