I Am Being Stalked by the Sacred Heart of Jesus

A couple of weeks ago, I was browsing in a local thrift store. I usually can find old Catholic books that are donated from estates. I have bought many old Latin missals, Catholic bibles, Catechisms, Hymnals and other neat stuff.

I happened to be looking through their pictures and I came across a plaque with a beautiful icon of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on it. It had a large scratch in it, so I put it down. I then picked up a maroon padded folder to see what was in it. It was another picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I bought that one for sixty-five cents.

The next day I get a solicitation from a religious organization with a booklet in it. I took out the booklet and was presented with a picture of the Sacred Heart on it. The booklet contained prayers to the Sacred Heart, so I kept the prayer book.

The next week, my wife and I were again at the thrift store, and my wife found a St. Joseph Latin missal. I opened it up to take a look at it, and it fell open to a picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I was looking through the porcelain items and found a beautiful holy water holder for the wall. On it was a statue of Jesus. On closer examination... you guessed it, the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The next week at Mount St. Francis for Latin Mass, I noticed the life sized statue in front of the friary which was... the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Mass was moved from the friary where it was usually celebrated to the "Chapel on the Mount" (in the woods, surrounded by God's creation). As we went into this beautiful rustic cabin, on each side of the altar were... statues of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

This weekend I went alone to my sister's house in New Jersey for my nephew's graduation. On Sunday, I was the only one getting up for Mass, so I decided to try a different church than the usual one we attended there with no kneelers. I went on Yahoo Local to find a church close to my sister's house. The first Catholic church that appeared on the search was... You guessed it...

Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church. A beautiful Polish church with altar rails, tabernacle front and center, statues, images and a truly orthodox Mass with no innovations.

I don't know what the Sacred Heart wants from me. The first few sightings might have been a coincidence, but as time goes on, there appears to be a message that I'm just not getting. I guess I'll have to pray on it...

Maybe a chaplet of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
